The Firehouse is a church that is committed to standing out as a beacon of hope and restoration in the great City of Detroit. We believe our presence here isn’t just another location—it’s an intentional and necessary part of the community. We aim to light the flame in people’s lives, whether by igniting a new spark or reigniting one dimmed by life’s challenges. Through our outreach programs and support, we want to remind everyone that there’s always a place where they can find the strength to fight, succeed, and overcome.
Pastor Stacy M. Taylor Sr. was born on November 19, 1970, in Detroit, MI. He grew up on the eastside of Detroit. where he was raised by his mother, aunt, and his grandmother. Pastor Taylor attended Chandler Elementary School and Barbour Middle School, he then graduated from Kettering Senior High School in 1988. He has attended Davenport University, where he studied Computer Information Systems. In 2011, he received his bachelor’s degree in Church Ministry from The Sure Foundation Theological Institute. He attended Wayne County Community College where he is just a few credits away from receiving an associate degree in Fire Administration. In May 2024, Stacy graduated from Cleary University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and in May 2025 he graduated with a master’s degree in Leadership by May 2025.
