GOD – We believe there is only one true God. He has always existed, and He reveals Himself as three persons working together as one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
THE BIBLE – We believe the Bible to be the inspired AND authoritative Word of God.
The KINGDOM OF GOD – We believe in the reality of the spiritual Kingdom of God and recognize the existence of the Kingdom of Darkness
THE SON – We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
SALVATION – Salvation is a free gift from God, but we have to receive it. We can’t earn it or buy it—only by putting our trust in Jesus Christ and accepting His forgiveness can we be saved from the power and penalty of sin. Eternal life starts the very moment you invite Jesus into your life and believe in Him by faith.

Pastor Taylor is the father of two children, Stacy II and Niayah Renee. Raised in a Baptist church, he has taken his faith seriously. In November of 1978, Pastor Taylor confessed Christ at Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Effie May Jones. After twelve years of growing in the faith in 1990, he then joined the New Order Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Henry McNeal Jr. In June of 1990, Pastor Taylor preached his first sermon entitled, “You Ought to Try Jesus.” After which he began to learn how to be a preacher and how to preach effectively. After consideration from Pastor McNeal Jr., Pastor Taylor was ordained in June of 1996. In June of 2002, he was released from New Order and joined New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, now New Mt. Moriah International Church, under the leadership of Bishop William H. Murphy, II. Pastor Taylor served at New Mt. Moriah for nine years and as a member, had the pleasure of walking closely with Bishop who personally taught him how a ministry is properly run for daily operations. In July 2011, the Lord led Pastor Taylor to join Fountain of Truth Christian Center in Detroit, under the leadership of Bishop Michael Jones, Sr. There he actively served on the Ministerial Alliance Board and faithfully served his pastors. In 2022, Pastor Taylor organized and started, “Walking by Faith Christian Center,” where he currently served as the senior pastor for a little over three years, the church is now known as “The FireHouse.” In March 2023, Pastor Taylor married Elder Socha Dorris, from Pontiac, Michigan. Elder Socha has three daughters, Faith, Miyah, and N’dia Brown. Matthew 19:6 says, “what God has joined together, let no man put asunder.”
Elder/Lady Socha A. Taylor, accepted Christ at the age 5 years old and was introduced to serving others by visiting the sick at nursing homes, hospitals, and feeding the sick by the time she was just six years old. She has been preaching for over 27 years and was ordained 14 years ago under the leadership of Bishop William H. Murphy, II. Elder Socha is passionate in prayer, worship, women, and outreach ministries. Public speaking in both church and the public sector has been a gift of hers that brings a sense of fulfillment. Elder Socha is huge on family being first as well as working daily to ensure her husband knows he has strength and support with her walking by his side. She has always believed God is first, then family, and then ministry. She’s selfless and will give her very last to make others feel supported and loved. Elder Socha uses her social media platform to spread the gospel through daily inspiration and prayer. She has a Women’s Group entitled, “Winning Women Overcoming,” establishes to focus on surrender, trust, and transformation.
Pastor Taylor and Elder Socha both believe in preaching and teaching the Word of God. They believe in the power of prayer and know that things only happen according to the Will of God. Pastor Taylor and Elder Socha are a “power couple” that believe they are called to serve the people in more ways than one.
